This role will be responsible for developing and executing a digital and customer first creative and content strategy that drives our performance marketing engine to acquire, engage and retain customers. Your overall goal will be to increase revenue and ROI by delivering impactful creative that engages and motivates existing and future customers; whilst playing a key role in helping to build the Helly Hansen brand. The creative and content strategy that you build and evolve will be executed globally, with key markets across North America and Europe.

You’ll be a creative expert with proven ability in developing high impact creative campaigns that have delivered sales and revenue growth. You’ll have a passion for driving performance improvements through test and learn, with extensive knowledge in how best to tailor and measure creative performance across multiple digital platforms.

You’ll lead our digital & performance marketing creative and content team, our digital creative agency and work with stakeholders across different teams including performance marketing, e-commerce and brand. You’ll build relationships with key partners including Google and Meta to ensure that maximum performance impact across the platforms.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Helly Hansen's global performance marketing creative strategy
  • Define and report on clear performance KPI’s, measure the impact of creative performance across acquisition, retention and brand metrics
  • Define and execute the creative test and learn performance optimization plan
  • Partner with key stakeholders including Senior Acquisition, retention, brand and ecommerce managers to execute the performance marketing plan
  • Lead the development of seasonal and always on performance marketing campaigns; partnering closely with brand to ensure activity fully integrated
  • Build deep relationships with key partners, including Google and Meta to drive creative excellence on each platform
  • Lead the digital content and creative team and our digital creative agency partner
  • Oversee the creative budget ensuring value delivery from our partners

Reports to: Global Performance Marketing Director

Location: Oslo, Norway

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, 3+ years in a lead performance marketing creative role
  • Experience in leading creative teams covering a wide variety of background skill sets
  • Experience in driving acquisition, retention and brand metrics
  • Excellent understanding of test and learn methodology
  • Proven ability in driving creative across digital platforms (Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and formats (video/static/animation)
  • Able to translate creative thinking into a clearly defined creative strategy
  • Highly organized, managing multiple campaigns/projects at once
  • Experience leading and getting the most out of agency partners
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in sports marketing or an interest in skiing or sailing sports is a plus
