E-commerce is a core pillar of our growth strategy, and we are now looking for an experienced Head of E-commerce to take our website and digital sales channels to the next level.

About the Role

As Head of E-commerce, you will own and drive the end-to-end e-commerce strategy and operations across digital channels. This is a highly commercial role, focusing on revenue growth, website performance, digital marketing and customer loyalty. You will work cross-functionally with brand marketing, product, and other relevant teams to ensure that Viking delivers a best-in-class online shopping experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage Viking’s e-commerce platform (.com), ensuring sales growth, profitability, scalability and overall business performance.
  • Develop and execute an e-commerce strategy, taking ownership of the business case and P&L.
  • Lead and optimize digital marketing efforts across SEO, paid search, paid social, and email in collaboration with agency partners.
  • Analyze, act on, and report key metrics, turning insights into growth-driving actions and optimizing all parts of the customer journey.
  • Identify and implement new tools, technologies, and partnerships to enhance e-commerce capabilities and drive new business.
  • Lead and develop the e-commerce team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring strong execution, collaboration and support for each team member’s professional growth.
  • Work cross-functionally within the organization to align e-commerce efforts and identify business opportunities.

The position is based at Viking HQ in Oslo.

Who You Are

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on leader with a passion for growing a brand and crafting customer experiences—someone who can drive strategy and actively shape execution and enthusiasm around the team.

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • 5+ years of experience, ideally from a fashion and/or lifestyle brand, with a proven track record in growing an e-commerce business.
  • A strategic and commercial mindset—you thrive with P&L ownership and know how to grow and scale a brand online.
  • Digital marketing expertise—you understand SEO, paid media (search and social), email marketing, affiliate marketing and related agency management.
  • Data-driven and analytical thinking—you translate data into action. With a keen eye on customer insights and performance metrics, you continuously test and refine strategies to improve business performance.
  • Tech-savviness—need to understand the e-commerce tech stack and how the online customer journey is built and can be optimized.
  • Language skills—Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English.
