Mer Group is a leading European EV charging company based on innovative startup companies in Norway, Sweden, UK, and Germany. Our mission is to make sustainable electric mobility easy and accessible for everyone. The group is a result of targeted acquisitions of successful charging start-ups and has an expansive European growth strategy, both organic and structural. Mer is fully owned by Norwegian Statkraft, Europe’s largest provider of renewable energy.

We are now looking for an experienced Communication Advisor who loves word-smithing and creating engaging content for different channels and who wants to develop and grow together with us. This is a newly created position in the group, and you will have the opportunity to shape the processes and activities together with the Head of Brand and Communication!

As a Communication Advisor, you will be a key resource for both external and internal communication in Mer Group going forward. In this role, you will make sure that Mer’s efforts and activities are effectively communicated, internally as well as externally. We believe you are a team player with a positive attitude, and you are organized, structured, and harness the power of creative content! Knowledge and experience within digital marketing is a plus. This role can be located at one of our locations in either Norway, Sweden, UK or Germany.

You will be working in a highly international environment with close collaboration across our business units and functions!

Key activities will amongst others be:

  • Develop effective communication strategies to support our business objectives in Mer Group.
  • Plan and develop yearly content calendar for our distribution channels.
  • Work together with our international marketing team to ensure consistency in communication and exchange of content, best practices, and ideas across the business units
  • Take part in the development and execution of key events to strengthen our brand and positioning.
  • Work closely together with HR with regards to employer branding.
  • Responsible for internal communication in our preferred channels.
  • Assist Head of Brand and Communication on external PR and content when needed.


We think you have a profile like this:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, journalism or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years working experience with proven results as a communication advisor/manager
  • Experience with management and development of business websites and SoMe platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative and innovative mindset.
  • Thrives and enjoys participating in social settings like events and exhibitions.
  • Storyteller with ability to engage the targeted audience on various communication platforms.
  • You are fluent in English – both written and orally.

The role can be based in either of our locations and will report to our Head of Brand and Communication, based in Kristiansand. Our organization is based in Kristiansand, Oslo, Helsingborg, Munich, Teisnach, Düsseldorf, London or Consett. Some international travel will thus be required.
