In this talk, Erika will share the important reasons why creativity needs outsiders, and why “gut feeling” alone is not enough to create relevant and resonant communication. She will use examples from her own experience as a global strategist (and lifetime outsider) to advise how you can use the different perspectives within your teams to uncover deeper and more meaningful insights and gain a creative competitive edge.
Erika Brenner is an experienced international creative strategist from Brazil/Austria. She has lived in China for nearly a decade and worked as a planner in global creative agencies such as BBH, JWT, TBWA, and Publicis, to name a few. Upon moving to Norway in 2018, she worked with global consumer insights at Helly Hansen, and has recently returned to the agency side as Head of Planning at Publicis Kitchen, in Oslo. On her spare time, she shares her musings and observations about looking at the world from an outsider’s perspective at theoutsights.com.
